Got Season 7 Episode 4 "The Spoils of War" Review

Drakarys!!!! Dragons did their job and spread terror and destruction, Bronn came back to aim, the Starks reunited and Bran is being zombie cool. Lets dig in this awesome episode!
It opened with Jaime and Bronn exactly where we left them last week. Jaime is still upset about Olenna's last words, though delivering the message to Cersei will be a little difficult after the events of the episode. Bronn is still great, funny and irreverent as ever and gave us a much needed comedic relief.
In Dragonstone Dany shared a girl to girl moment with Missandei but then, her attention went elsewhere when Jon took her to the caves to show her his discoveries and try one more time to convince her to join his cause. It was a great scene, Dany seemed touched and taken aback with this new revelation, even soft but the moment was broken in a heartbeat. She expressed her intentions to help Jon in the war to come but only if he bends the knee. This was infuriating in many levels. She keeps thinking it's all about her and that what she is asking for is a granted right. I think Jon will bend the knee eventually but it will bring him problems in The North. Dany doesn't understand Westeros, she doesn't understand The North and their people. Just because Jon gets it doesn't mean The Lords will. It's not about Jon's pride but yours Your Grace. Saving mankind and serving your people must never be conditioned. You want to be The Queen, then earn it, earn the people's hearts and respect. When The Red Woman said Dany had a part to play in the war I think she referred to the dragons and her army and not her as The Queen.
When things didn't go as planned Dany turned to Jon to ask for his advice. Apparently she is a little bit taken by The king in the North. Him, not so much, even when Davos made the effort to point out his furtive glances to the Dragon Queen, which I hadn't notice at all.
Jon advised in the same way Tyrion did. Do not use your dragons. People will follow you but if you burn cities you are not any different, just more of the same.
As usual Winterfell didn't fail to be my favorite part. Arya has made it to the Castle only to be detained by a couple of laughable guards who doesn't even know who they are guarding. As Arya said, they need better guards. This Stark reunion was an improvement on last week. The two sisters who have come a long way embraced each other. Still, Jon and Sansa's takes the cake on the reunion department, it was just so emotional for them. But maybe the show is saving the best for the last when Jon comes back home and reunite with all the remaining members of his family. A girl can only dream!
Bran is becoming a really cool character now that he is lost in his Three Eye Raven persona for good. Meera and him parting ways was sad, they both deserved better but it's not possible anymore, most of who he was died in the cave.
Littlefinger keeps trying to charm and win the Starks but fails at every attempt. Bran can see it all and now the always well prepared Baelish has found something he can't control. For the man that contemplates and bet on every possible scenario to have someone who can actually see the past, the present and the future is disturbing. Don't know for how long he will last with all the Starks there.
The dagger he provided in season one for Bran's assassination made its return in the form of a present of good will.... not so much, a manipulation present as Sansa implied later. But it ended in different hands, the most capable hands, Arya's. Give it a great use girl.
Brienne haven't done much this season but what she does in a few seconds on screen convey so much. She was us looking at the Starks strolling through Winterfell and then, that delightful training sequence with Arya. I just loved it.
Back in Dragonstone, Theon arrived and surprise, surprise was welcomed by a very angry Jon who only restrained himself from killing the castaway by thinking of what he did for Sansa.
With Dany gone it was interesting how it all was framed for her big battle scene. Jon and Davos talked about The self proclaimed Queen. Jon thinks she has a good heart and then Missandei praised her even more. Please Ser Davos don't ever suggest you are open to switch sides. Jokes of that kind won't be well received.
At first view this scene seemed unnecessary but the whole exchange could be a significant foreshadow. Missandei asked about Jon's last name and his status of bastard, a concept she is unaware of. Marriage doesn't exist where she is from, one child is no different from the other. It must be liberating! This could translate in a change of heart for the most trusted adviser of The Mother of Dragons when the truth about Jon's parentage come up. This, paired to her believe in the freewill Dany has gave her and all her followers thus far could reverse by the end of the story if The khaleesi goes all Mad Queen mode.
It's funny all the people in the island are foreigns. They have followed Dany because they believe in her and owe her in some way, but none of them belongs to Westeros. The only thing there for them is the Queen they chose, and I want to stress this out because of the next scene. Dany can't get anybody to choose her or bend the knee unless she threatens to burn them alive. Not here anyways.
The battle in Highgarden was just fantastic. The horrors of the war were laid down in front of our eyes and the dragons abilities were fully appreciated. I think we can consider them official nuclear weapons, it actually made me root for the soldiers and not the dragons. Aim it Bronn, aim it... and he did. It would be smart and surprising if in deed one of the dragons die. I want to see things be leveled up, dragons don't give a fair game fight. Lets remove them from the equation to see how powerful the Queens really are.
Tyrion is starting to realize with terror Dany is after all her father's daughter. The devastation and destruction around were too much and when he saw Jaime, his dear brother Jaime charging against the Dragon Queen he pleaded for him. Even Dany in her earlier outburst started to doubt about his loyalty to her, and with good reason. The person Tyrion loves the most in the world is still his brother Jaime.
I was happy Drogon was hit. It just proved dragons are not infallible and it was definitely the best moment of the battle, but now we need to put Jaime in the save list. I'm looking forward next week to see if we finally get the Lannister siblings together, please lets do it.
This was another lets end with a bang episode, more, more please!!!
JDT TEMPORADA 7 EPISODIO 4 "LOS CAPRICHOS DE LA GUERRA"
¡Dracarys!!!! Los dragones hicieron su trabajo y propagaron terror y destrucción, Bronn volvió para apuntar, los Starks se reunieron y Bran es un zombie cool. Discutamos este impresionante episodio!
Abrió con Jaime y Bronn exactamente donde los dejamos la semana pasada. Jaime todavía está aturdido por las últimas palabras de Olenna, pero entregar el mensaje a Cersei le será un poco difícil después de los acontecimientos de este episodio. Bronn sigue siendo genial, divertido e irreverente como siempre y nos dio una nota del tan necesario humor.
En Dragonstone Dany compartió un momento de chicas con Missandei, pero su atención fue a otra parte cuando Jon la llevó a las cuevas para mostrarle sus hallazgos y tratar una vez más de convencerla de unirse a su causa. Fue una gran escena, Dany pareció tocada y sorprendida con esta nueva revelación, incluso algo suave, pero el momento se rompió en un instante. Expresó sus intenciones de ayudar a Jon en la guerra por venir, pero sólo si este se arrodilla ante ella. Esto fue exasperante en muchos niveles. Dany sigue creyendo que todo es sobre ella y que lo que está pidiendo es un derecho ganado. Creo que Jon se doblegará eventualmente pero le traerá problemas en El Norte. Dany no entiende Westeros, no entiende al Norte y a su gente. Sólo porque Jon se doblegue no significa que los Lores lo harán. No se trata del orgullo de Jon, sino del suyo, Su Alteza. Salvar a la humanidad y servir a su pueblo no debe ser nunca condicionado. Quieres ser La Reina, entonces gánatelo, gana el corazón y el respeto de la gente. Cuando La Mujer de Rojo dijo que Dany tenía un papel que desempeñar en la guerra creo que se refirió a los dragones y a su ejército y no a ella como La Reina.
Cuando las cosas no salieron como planeaba, se volvió hacia Jon para pedirle consejo. Al parecer ha tomado interés por El rey del Norte. Él, no tanto, incluso cuando Davos hizo el esfuerzo de señalar sus miradas furtivas a La Reina Dragón, las cuales no había notado en absoluto.
Jon aconsejó de la misma manera que Tyrion lo hizo. No uses tus dragones. La gente te seguirá, pero si quemas ciudades no eres diferente, solo más de lo mismo.
Como siempre Winterfell no falló en ser mi parte favorita. Arya llegó al castillo sólo para ser detenida por un par de guardias ridículos que ni siquiera saben a quién están protegiendo. Como dijo Arya, necesitan mejores guardias. Esta reunión de los Stark fue una mejora de la semana pasada. Las dos hermanas que han recorrido un largo camino se fundieron en los brazos de la otra una vez más. Sin embargo, Jon y Sansa siguen al tope en el departamento de reuniones, fue tan emocional para ellos. Pero tal vez el programa está guardando lo mejor para cuando Jon vuelva a casa y se reúna con todos los miembros restantes de su familia. ¡Una chica sólo puede soñar!
Bran se está convirtiendo en un personaje muy cool ahora que está perdido por completo en su persona de The Three Eye Raven. La despedida con Meera fue muy triste, ambos se merecían algo mejor, pero ya no es posible, mucho de lo que Bran fuera una vez murió en la cueva.
Littlefinger sigue tratando de encantar a los Starks, pero falla en cada intento. Bran puede verlo todo y ahora el siempre preparado Baelish ha encontrado algo que no puede controlar. Para el hombre que contempla y apuesta en cada escenario posible tener a alguien que realmente puede ver el pasado, el presente y el futuro es inquietante. No sé por cuánto tiempo durará con todos los Starks allí.
La daga que él mismo proporcionó en la primera temporada para el asesinato de Bran hizo su regreso en forma de un regalo de buena voluntad ... no tanto, un obsequio manipulador como Sansa implicó más tarde. Pero terminó en manos diferentes, las manos más capaces, las manos de Arya. Dale un buen uso chica.
Brienne no ha hecho mucho esta temporada pero lo que hace en unos segundos en pantalla transmite mucho. Fue ella quien tomó nuestro lugar mientras observaba a los Starks paseando por Winterfell y luego, esa deliciosa secuencia de entrenamiento con Arya. Simplemente me encantó.
De vuelta en Dragonstone, Theon arribo y sorpresa, sorpresa fue recibido por un Jon muy enfadado que sólo se abstuvo de matar al náufrago pensando en lo que este había hecho por Sansa.
Con Dany lejos, fue interesante cómo todo fue dispuesto para su gran escena en batalla. Jon y Davos hablaron de La auto proclamada Reina. Jon cree que tiene un buen corazón y luego Missandei la alabó aún más. Por favor Ser Davos, nunca sugiera que está abierto a cambiar de bando. Las bromas de ese tipo no serán bien recibidas.
A primera vista, esta escena parecía innecesaria, pero todo el intercambio podría significar un presagio. Missandei preguntó por el apellido de Jon y su status de bastardo, un concepto que ella desconoce. El matrimonio no existe en Nath, de donde ella viene, no hay diferencias entre un hijo u otro. ¡Debe ser liberador! Esto podría traducirse en un cambio de corazón para la consejera más confiable de La Madre de los Dragones cuando la verdad sobre la ascendencia de Jon salga a la luz. Además de que el aparente libre albedrío que Dany le ha dado a ella y a todos sus seguidores hasta el momento podría revertirse al final de la historia si La khaleesi se convierte en La Reina Loca.
Es curioso que toda la gente en la isla sean extranjeros. Han seguido a Dany porque creen en ella y le deben de alguna manera, pero ninguno de ellos pertenece a Westeros. Lo único que hay para ellos ahí es la reina que eligieron, y quiero hacer hincapié en esto a causa de la siguiente escena. Dany no puede conseguir que nadie la elija o se doblegue ante ella a menos que los amenace con quemarlos vivos. Por lo menos no aquí.
La batalla en Highgarden fue simplemente fantástica. Los horrores de la guerra fueron puestos a la vista de todos y las habilidades de los dragones fueron apreciadas completamente. Creo que podemos considerarlos oficialmente armas nucleares. A tal punto que estuve del lado de los soldados y no de los dragones. Apunta Bronn, apunta ... y lo hizo. Sería inteligente y sorprendente si de hecho uno de los dragones muere. Quiero ver las cosas niveladas, los dragones no dan una pelea justa. Eliminémoslos de la ecuación para ver cuán poderosas son realmente Las Reinas.
Tyrion comenzó a darse cuenta con terror que Dany es después de todo la hija de su padre. La devastación y destrucción alrededor fueron demasiado y cuando vio a Jaime, su querido hermano Jaime corriendo hacia La Reina Dragón, suplicó por su vida. Incluso Dany en su disgusto ha empezado a dudar de su lealtad hacia ella, y con justa razón. La persona que más ama Tyrion en el mundo sigue siendo su hermano Jaime.
Me alegra que Drogon fuera herido. Eso prueba que los dragones no son infalibles y fue definitivamente el mejor momento de la batalla, pero ahora tenemos que poner a Jaime en la lista de salvados. Espero con ansias la próxima semana para ver si finalmente conseguimos ver a los hermanos Lannister juntos, por favor hagámoslo.
Este fue otro episodio en el que terminamos con un BANG! Más, más por favor!
